Cheryl Avie Meadows Obituary
Cheryl Avie Meadows April 2, 1952 - June 9, 2018 Losing my wife, Cheryl, 30 years from now would be too soon. She taught, loved, and encouraged all whom she met. Cheryl was born in Aberdeen, Washington and was raised in and graduated from high school in Olympia, Washington. She earned a teaching certificate from Central Washington State College and spent her career teaching primary school in St. Helens, OR where she inspired her students to excel. After retirement Cheryl created beautiful projects and made our homes beautiful and inviting. From camping throughout the Pacific Northwest to hiking up mountains and running marathons, Cheryl was constantly inspired by and loved nature. The view from our home in Columbia City on the Columbia River and Cascade mountains inspired her daily. Her family, close friends, and loving the Lord made her life complete. In retirement we moved to Corvallis, Oregon. There have been few moments when Cheryl was not surrounded by new and old friends, family and local volunteer organizations. Cheryl is survived by myself, Jerry Meadows, cherished son Jacob Meadows, and beautiful daughter, Avie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Porter and Oliver Stowers, and Sierra Meadows. She is at peace in her Lords hands. A memorial service will be held at NW Hills Community Church, 3300 NW Walnut Blvd., Corvallis, Oregon on July 21st at 10:00.
