Mary Elizabeth Anderson Mary Elizabeth Anderson died on April 17, 2017. She is survived by two brothers, Phillip Anderson Jr. and Mark Anderson, and a niece, Alexandra Anderson. Mary was born August 20 1946, in Paynesville, Minnesota to Phillip and Vera Anderson. The family moved to Olympia in 1951 and eventually settled in Boston Harbor. Mary attended Boston Harbor Grade School, North Thurston High School for three years, and graduated from Olympia High School in 1964. She was awarded a BA degree from Central Washington State College. Mary worked for the State of Washington in various capacities including many years as a legislative assistant for Representative Sandra Romero. She was a longtime volunteer at the Blood Bank and a frequent donor herself. She also actively supported many local political campaigns. Mary had a full and adventurous life. She travelled widely in Europe and Asia and worked in Greece for six months. She was an excellent pianist, ran two Olympia marathons, and was especially proud of earning a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 46. Mary was a wonderful sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
