LaBar, Dorothy Amanda 1928 - 2020 The passing of Dorothy LaBar of Birsay, Sask. occurred on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Lucky Lake Health Centre, at the age of 92 years. Grandma overcame tremendous hurdles in her life but despite this, absolutely triumphed as a mother. Her greatest joy in life was her family and making certain each and every one felt loved and special. Her hands were never idle and were always at work crocheting or sewing gifts for her loved ones. These handmade creations are now our treasured keepsakes. As much as we miss you and would have loved to have you longer, your time on earth here is done. It's time for you to move on to something greater. You've passed on a lifetime of values, skills and knowledge, please know it will not be forgotten. Grandpa has been waiting to see you so take his hand and go rest high on that mountain. We love you. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her family: Terry LaBar and his daughter, Kristal (Boe) Silljer (Berlyn); Delaney Warren and family, Justin & Megan; Denise (Brian) Pearson and family, Amanda & Amber; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Harry Alm & Bernard LaBar; four sisters, Lempi Kathryn (infant), Vieno (Toivo) Alto, Edna Emily (infant), & Edna (Jack) Carnell; and by two brothers, Sulo Aho & Gust Aho. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a graveside service will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery, at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to: The Salvation Army. Arrangements are in care of the Outlook Funeral Chapel 306-868-8255. __________________________________________________

I am saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was such a kind, loving and happy lady. Never saw her without a smile. A generous neighbour and friend to my mom. My condolences along with my moms to all the family.
