Sadly Irvin Gerald "Pat" Patterson passed away at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn Emma Jean (nee Clark) who passed away in 2019. They were married 55 years. He was the father of Allen Patterson (Mary) of Quebec and Tina Hansen (Danny) of the Yukon. He was a Grandfather of 5. Brother to Harold and brother in law to Sharon Willoughby. He leaves their beloved dog Murphy who will be residing in Whitehorse with Tina and Danny. Irvin was the eldest son of Lawrence Irvin and Evelyne Patterson (Nee Coleman). He was born in Peterborough and resided there most of his life. He served with Canadian Armed Forces as a Signalman during Peacetime in Germany. He was an avid woodworker. He made wooden creatures for his wife's gardens. He also enjoyed watching all sports. He retired from Norampac (formerly Domtar Packaging). He was in the process of moving to Whitehorse to live with his daughter and Son- in- Law. To his spouse he was her life, her love and her heart. To his daughter he was a strong, caring, guiding hand and most of all her Dad. To his son in law he was an intimating and protective family man. To some he could be abrasive, aloof and to others a dependable, supportive friend. He was always a man of his word. To those who loved him, he will be greatly missed but never forgotten. At his request cremation has taken place. Burial will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Irvin may be made to the Habitat for Humanity.
