Peacefully at Rubidge Retirement Residence on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Gunnar Poulsen (2004) and the late Gordon Michener (1968). Loving mother of Michael Michener (Diane Finn) and Alexandra Michener (Terry O'Leary). Dear stepmother of Christel Freiger-Poulsen (George Cloutier) and Lottie Freiger-Poulsen. Proud grandmother of Simon and Nicolina. Predeceased by her parents William and Isabella McGinnis and her brother Malcolm McGinnis. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Joyce enjoyed giving her time and efforts to others. She was a member of the Peterborough Lions Club and St. Luke's Anglican Church and volunteered with both frequently. Due to the current pandemic, a service will be planned at a later date. The family wish to thank Rubidge Retirement Residence Staff for their amazing kindness and dedication. In honour of Joyce, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
