Isobel Nichols Obituary
At the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday May 26, 2021 in her 67th year. Predeceased by her parents Melville and Mary Nichols, her brothers Douglas and Barry and her sister Susan. Izzy was a loving sister, aunt, great aunt and is survived by her sister Cindy (Greg) Arrindell , sister-in-law Diane Nichols, her niece Janette (Brad) and nephews Steven (Sarah) and Matthew.
Isobel was part of a tight-knit group who blazed trails for girls'and women's sports in Peterborough. She was among the leaders excelling in softball, hockey and basketball and was inducted into the Peterborough and District Sports Hall of Fame in 2009 as an all-around athlete.
Due to the pandemic a private family service will be held. Friends are invited to join a Livestream of the service on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Through the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre webpage (from Izzy's obituary scroll down to service and click join livestream). Inurnment will follow at the Lakefield Cemetery. In memory of Izzy, donations to the Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be made at www.comstockkaye.com

I had known Isabel for few remarkable years. Played some sports with or against her. Would like to extend my deepest sympathy to her family.
