Donald K. Hillman
September 4, 1926 - August 20, 2018

PLYMOUTH - Donald K. Hillman, age 91 of Plymouth passed away on Monday, Aug. 20, in the Community Hospital of Bremen with his loving family by his side.
Donald was born on Sept. 4, 1926 in Jefferson, to Alva and Ruby (Vaughn) Hillman.
He has been a resident of Marshall county since 1950. Donald was a retired truck driver from Express Freight Lines. He enjoyed camping and motorcycles, but his greatest joy was his family.
On Nov. 9, 1991 Donald married the former Judy Higgins in a ceremony in Rochester.
Donald honorably served his country in the United States Army during WWII.
Those left to cherish Donald's memory are his wife, Judy Hillman of Plymouth; his children, Lois Ann Hillman of Logansport, Donald Keith (late wife, Sandy) Hillman of Wyandotte, Mich., Anita Mottley of Logansport, Julie (Stan) Palmer of Plymouth, Donna (Al) Palbykin of Plymouth, Robert Hillman of Plymouth, Julie Ann (Melvin) Snyder of Plymouth, Jennifer (Mike) McGillicuddy of Ft. Wayne, John Loesch of Lakeville, Fst. Sgt. Joseph Loesch of El Paso, Texas, step-son, Jerry (Theresa) Chapman of Lydick; also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and sister, Phyllis Jones.
Donald is preceded in passing by his parents, his brothers, James and Alva, Jr.; 1st wife, Mary Schall and second wife, Luethisia Hillman.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements for the Hillman family.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street Plymouth, with pastor John Perkinson officiating.
Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post # 27, VFW Post #1162 and the DAV. Burial will take place later.
A time of visiting with the Hillman family will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Hillman family requests memorial contributions in honor of Donald be made to Hemminger House, or The Bread of Life Food Pantry, 6770 Michigan Road Plymouth, Ind. 46563
