Michael Allen McGriff

SILVER LAKE - Michael Allen McGriff, 32 of Sycamore Street, Silver Lake, died on Sept. 3, at 9:48 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, following an lengthy illness.
On Nov. 1, 1985 in Warsaw, he was born to Ricky McGriff and Robin A. (Canter) Bailey and had lived most of his life in Kosciusko county, growing up in Claypool, and he lived in Warsaw, and Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
Michael was a Roofer for Timmerman Roofing, Warsaw; he also worked for Ziebart in Warsaw and KGP in Warsaw.
He attended Warsaw High School. Michael was an outdoorsman and loved camping, canoeing, surfing, hiking, spending time with his kids, and deer hunting. He loved playing basketball and softball. Michael was a kind loving person who made friends easily and cherished those friendships dearly. He was a huge Boston Red Sox fan and was a master at fantasy sports. In his younger days Michael, was a Kosciusko 4-H member. Michael never knew a stranger, he made friends wherever, he went. Michael loved the state of Maine and made many friends while living there. He loved all that the outdoor had to offer there.
Michael is survived by his sons, Skyler McGriff age 13 and Micah McGriff age10; his parents, Ricky McGriff and wife Cindy of North Waterboro, Maine; and Robin Bailey and husband Ken of Lodi, Ohio; sisters, Holly McGriff and fiancee Kyler Vuittonet of Seville, Ohio; and Anna Stamper and husband Dale of Warsaw; step-sisters, Amanda Seaman, Alysha Mason, and Ashley Bailey; step-brothers, Chris Bailey, Jessie Bailey and Nathan Bailey; grandmothers, Mary McGriff of Argos and Karen Stewart of Lodi, Ohio; and his fiancee Shasta Breidert of Silver Lake.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Raymond McGriff and Thomas Canter.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Sept. 7, from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, with Rev. Phillip Burris.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
