Elizabeth McLAY Obituary

Passed away peacefully in Whanganui on Wednesday, 6th August 2025. Devoted wife to Robert, beloved sister of Ian Arnold. Dearly loved Mum of Samantha, Abi, and Daniel, and mother-in-law to Tam and Barri, Emma, and Matthew. Adored Granny to her 17 grandchildren. Liz will be at home until Monday. In lieu of flowers a donation towards St John ambulance would be appreciated. A service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held at Christ Church Anglican Church, 243 Wicksteed Street, Wanganui, on Monday, the 11th of August 2025, at 10am, followed by private cremation. The service will be live-streamed at www.clevelandfunerals.co.nz, channel 2.

Dearest Robert,
We are terribly saddened to hear of Liz's death. We have such fond memories of Liz - her hospitality, her joyous sense of humour, and her incredible creativity that made everything she touched a work of art. She was a vibrant person, in every sense.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, as well as your families. We will definitely watch the funeral online.
