On 21st July 2025, peacefully at Whanganui Hospital aged 76 years. Much loved Dad of Michelle, Debra, Therese & Zara, Angela, Darren & Jacinta, Janine & Tomas, Julie & Gusi, Brian & Bree. Much loved Poppa of Zaria, Caitlyn; Lachlan, Anneke, Bianca; Leo, Ben; Jayden, Neli, Margaret, Lucky, Michelle; McKenzie, & Marlie. Friends are invited to attend a Service to celebrate John's life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Whanganui, on Monday, 28th July 2025, at 11.00am.

Dear Michelle, Deb, Therese and family, we were so sorry to hear of your Dads passing.
We have such fond memories of him as our coach for many years when we played softball.
The homemade ginger beer - drinking it during our softball games thinking it would give us an edge but all it gave us was the burps!!
When we had that terrible game in Major A's, the ball went through about 4 players. We were so embarrassed and then Mr H called a timeout and instead of dissing us, he started laughing.
Another memory is us squeezing into the V8 Mini and it sounding like a racing car.

Lots of fun and good times. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
