Still trying to process to be honest. Where to start. Mentor, mate, legend ... George gave me my first big career break out of university. And then gave me two other opportunities to work with him - real career highlights over the course of 20 years. During that time, we forged a great friendship and I had the privilege to witness and learn from a business leader who could captivate, inspire and mobilise teams like no other. And throughout it all, cool, calm, yet willing to take calculated risks. And what a legacy he leaves behind, along with scores of people who have benefited from his wisdom, natural talent and people-first philosophy. George would often say, 'paint the picture then put the people in it'. His way of saying that if you could create a vision and then making sure everyone bought in to it, it would become a reality. And boy, did he successfully do that ... on multiple occasions. I'll miss you mate. Go well.

R.I.P. George.
A good man who basically came from very little to achieving much. We both worked at Ford Seaview in 1970-80 where George was the H.R. Manager and the person we went to when industrial problems arose.
Condolences to Maree and Family.
