I was very saddened to hear that Alex was ill. Now, even more so to hear that he has passed.
I have fond memories Alex. A quietly spoken, gentle person with a good heart. A truly lovely man.

Such wonderful memories of Dr McNabb at Capital Gymnastics Club in the late 80´s. I remember the handstand competitions at the end of training, and him throwing me up above his head into a handstand! I remember him as a gentle and quietly spoken coach, and have thought of him often since those days. Love to his family and friends - he will be greatly missed.

Very fond memories of Dr. McNabb at Capital Gymnastics in Wellington in the early 1980s. He was a wonderful coach and a very inspiring gentleman. He loved gymnastics with his whole being and we were so fortunate to have him teaching us.

Certainly the most remarkable person I have ever had the privilege of working with.

It's been an absolute privilege to be part of the family. I'm going to miss him alot, especially during christmas paper fights at christmas and think of him every time I eat icecream. Lots of love and hugs to everyone, may each day bring fond memories that let the heart feel lighter. xxx
