Dear Betty. What a long fulfilled life shared with so many. How I enjoyed the phone calls we shared your quick wit and humor and the laughter made my day. Thankyou for the family catchups and the stories of the love and caring of so many friends. You gave so much in return. I will miss you but you are now with your Lord together with the girls and many others gone before you. Thankyou for the memories. From Velma representing the Grimes side of our family

Betty, thank you for sharing your memories of mum, you shared with me a life well before my time and uncovered some of the mysteries around mum's parents. Thank you for the messages, the memes, the jokes and the care, you will be missed however, you are now with friends and family who will have welcomed you with love and open arms, RIP dear Betty

Our Betty. You were such a dear friend and confidant. I´ll miss our frequent lunches at Palmers, your sometimes risqué jokes, sharing of faith, swapping recipes and most of all your company. Rest in peace dear friend so loyal to so many. Carol

Dear Betty, the last of the "Peerless Girls". What an amazing bunch of loyal workers you three were. Betty you joined Peerless as a 15 year old, never working in another job except for your war service years during the Second World War when you drew the short straw to be the one from your group to serve. After 1945 you came back to Cuba Street and never left Peerless again until retirement. Ian treasured his "Aunties" as he called the three of you Eunice, Enid and you Betty. You all worked together, lived together, played and travelled together. The other two left you behind Betty but not for too long and now you can catch them up. Betty a wonderful life, well lived and enjoyed. My sympathy to all your nieces and nephews, especially to you Jennifer. You looked after Betty so well and will miss her so much.
