Cornelius MOLENAAR Obituary

On 3 July 2025, passed away unexpectedly at home in the comfort of familiar surroundings at the ripe old age of 93. Dearly loved husband of Val (deceased) and Helen. Loved father of Tony, Lynette, John and Margaret, loved father-in-law of Vicki, Lulu and Chappie and much loved Opa of Chris, Tim, Anthony, Robbie, Eugene, Ana, Kees, Yvette, Kat, Mia, Josh and Hannah and much loved Great Opa to Emily, Sam, Libby, Jack, Harrison, Alexis, Frankie, Albie, Tessa, Amelia, Ryder and Koa. A big man, with a big heart and an even bigger love for his family and faith. His was a life well-lived, filled with purpose, laughter, and love. Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the knowledge that his memory will live on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. At Cor's wishes a private service to celebrate his life was held at St Patrick's Church, Taupo on 14 July 2025.

You were my Uncle Cor through family friendship, larger than life with a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor. You will be missed by many. Sending love to Tony, Lynette, Margaret, John and their families.

Cor was married to my cousin, Val [Linton] from Foxton. A great friend and family member. I lost touch after moving from NZ to Canada in 1964 but have some good memories. Condolences to the family.
