God bless you Tom and family. We have been life long friends for over 70 years, starting in grade school and high school. Tom and I were the pioneers of radio-controlled model flying, after control-line and free flight, in Victoria Park in Kitchener at the tender age of 11 & 12 years old. I then took-up real flying and got my license at the age of 16. I have flown a number of Tom's aircraft in Guelph and have been part of the fall fly-ins for over 30 years. Tom commissioned me to build a pile of his favorite aircraft over the years in true scale models, that are still hanging from the ceiling in the hanger. He was a true friend, a book of knowledge of aircraft, and I view his picture every day on the wall in my hobby shop in my home.....gone but not forgotten. Ken Uhrig

Tom was not only an acquaintance to me, but an ICON to the Aviation World, and a true friend of the Air Cadet League of Canada. His willingness to be of assistance to so many people in all walks of life , especially flying aficionados and would-be a/c builders, could never be surpassed. He will be missed by many, and like they say in military parlance , WE WILL REMEMBER!

Tom represented the best of grassroots aviation. Though initially coming across as shy and quiet, Tom was friendly, helpful and always willing to lend advice or nurture someone’s interest in the restoration of aircraft. I recall his biggest smiles as he would watch the fruits of his restoration work take to the skies on warm sunny days at Guelph Airpark. Rest In Peace to one of “nature’s gentlemen”..........

Tom spent the third week of every June as a vendor at the Sentimental Journey Fly-In, held at the William T. Piper Memorial Airport in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. If he didn't have what you were looking for, he would try to find it. Tom's smiling face will be missed by everyone at the fly-in. Our sincere condolences to all who knew him and loved him.

Tom (and Bob) always made me feel most welcome and at home whenever I visited them at the Tiger Boys hangar at Guelph Airpark. I enjoyed chatting with them about Tiger Boys aircraft and events. Tom will surely be missed by many, most especially those of us in the aviation community. Blue Skies!

With a heavy heart I would like to offer my condolences to the family. Tom was a true Legend and will be missed by many. He was a great mentor and a dear friend to me. Always thoughtful, kind and willing to help. As a fellow aviator I will never forget all the things he taught me. I will miss him very much.
