I would like to, through tears, reflect on our friend for a moment if I may. I was most fortunate when Lynn referred me for a position at Lutherwood that I did not believe I was qualified for. However, after a few meetings in the community, where I worked as a street outreach worker, she knew that we shared a similar passion. When Lynn approached me about applying for a position at Lutherwood, she said, how you you like to work in an office instead of a street corner (followed by her amazing, genuine and full laugh)? and that immediately caught my attention almost 11 years ago. Lynn eventually received the referral money from Lutherwood after my probation period was over, and I was stunned when she shared half with me and donated the remaining half back to LutherwoodHow incredible and selfless of herbut that is who she was, incredibly selfless! We are most definitely going to miss our friend, miss her presence and miss her laugh, but I know that she will, some how, some way, continue her work from where she is now. And, I come to work each day knowing that her spirit will guide me as I continue to work in this sector which she was so passionate about. Cheers , my friend, I will miss you. Hhug(s), Darlene

Lynn was the most vivacious and caring person I will ever know. She will live on in so many of us. I will miss her terribly.

I was shocked to learn of Lynn's passing as she was a very energetic and vital person when I met her a year ago. I attended housing training at the Waterloo social services building she put on via Hhug for people working in the housing industry. She made learning entertaining. My sympathies to her family.
From Lynn's own words.....social workers spend the last years of their career trying to make up for the damage caused by their first years. Housing attitudes have changed a lot.

So saddened to hear the news of Lynn's passing. I had the opportunity to work with Lynn for almost 10 years at Lutherwood as we worked together to build housing services. What a tremendous legacy she has left. I will remember her wonderful laugh, warm hugs, continual optimism and encouragement, and most of all her compassion and commitment for some of the most vulnerable residents in our community. Let us all be inspired to carry on Lynn's vision , values and compassion for each other and our community.
With a heavy heart,
Cathy Harrington
