Tina TOMAN

Tina passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Thursday, July 22, following a year-long battle with cancer. Loving wife of Walter (2005), mother of Mark (Sandra) and Phil (Mary Beth), grandma of Laura (Mark), Krista, Abby, Kate, Will, and John. Daughter of David and Lena Loewen, sister of Henry (Mimi), Susan (John), Agnes (Henry), Helena (Victor), Erna (Peter), Frank (Lillian), Anne (Kurt), Mary (Edmund), and Jake, sister-in-law of Frank (Reta), Alice (Peter), and Elwood (Gerry), aunt and great-aunt of many on both sides of her family. Born January 29, 1937, Tina packed a lot into her 84 years. She was strong, shrewd, fun-loving, independent, a fierce competitor, an avid reader, and an adventurer, travelling to over 70 countries throughout her life. She was the librarian at New Dundee Public School and part of the New Dundee Baptist Church family for over 50 years. Her faith, family, and friends were her world, and all who knew her were better for it. Special thanks to everyone who supported her throughout her illness, including her army of friends, PSWs Kim, Val, Kaylene, Lorene, Kathleen, Lisa, Helen, and Annelise, nurses Cindy and Courtney, and Dr. Tan. While we are sad to see her go, we rejoice knowing that she is with her Saviour and Walt in her new heavenly home. Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, on Thursday, July 29, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral to take place in the chapel following visitation at 1:00 p.m. Interment in New Dundee Union Cemetery. Please reserve your spot to attend the funeral on the funeral home website.
