Passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 87. Beloved Wife of Oscar for 39 years. Loving Mother to Marilyn Barlow and the late Aryss Branden, and Step-Mother to Gerry (Janice) Lippert and Ron (Mina) Lippert. Cherished Grandma to David Quinlan, Nathan (Sandra) Quinlan, Tiffany (Derek) MacNeil, Christopher (Kristin) Barlow, Sarah Barlow-Steffler (Jim Steffler), Laura Barlow (Nelson Ferreira) and Step-Grandma to Seth (Melody) Lippert, Amy (B.J.) Martin, Jason Lippert and Mitchell Lippert. Great-Grandma to Liam, Owen, Logan, Isabella, Lily, Ava, Maggie, Lucy, Joel, Grace, Sage, Eleanor, Ryan, Bael and Amren. Predeceased by her parents and 11 siblings. Jean volunteered as a Girl Guide leader for 25 years and a long time member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church. She was the chairperson of the ELW, a member of the church council and enjoyed singing with the choir. Jean's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, with a service in the chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow. Those wishing to attend Jean's visitation and service must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling 519-749-8467.
