In loving memory of our son, Joshua. It has been five years since his sudden passing, and his absence continues to be ever present in our family's lives. We cling to the memories and precious moments that friends and family share with us, along with the occasional photo people come across and send our way. We are very appreciative of the continued support and shared memories of him. The love, caring, kindness and happiness he brought into our lives can never be forgotten. We are pleased to announce that, despite the disruption COVID-19 has created for students and people everywhere, the Joshua Fonseca Acts of Kindness endowment fund will be making contributions to three charities this year on behalf of this year's Grade 8 graduates from Joshua's school, Saint John Paul II in Kitchener. In keeping with Joshua's special way with children, all three charities focus on assisting children, often in parts of the world where extreme poverty and lack of education/healthcare are not readily available. This year's three recipient charities will be Canadian Food For Children, Chalice, and MaterCare International. Congratulations also go out to graduates Ellen G. and Gavin V. for winning the 2020 Perseverance Award at St. John Paul II, awarded in Joshua's memory. Mass intentions will be held for Joshua on Sunday, July 12th at the 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph's Church, which will also be live-streamed on YouTube via the following link:
