78, journalist, TV producer-director, civil servant and diplomat, editor, publisher, writer, photographer, died peacefully in Toronto, Canada on February 19, 2021, after a long illness. He leaves wife Pamela (née Hitchins), sons David and Daniel, daughter Rachel, son-in-law Michael Brown, granddaughter Zoey, sister Alison Bodden, brothers Bryan (Antoinette), and Jeffrey (Charmaine), oldest friend Richard Wright, sisters-in-law, Penny Mordecai, Betty Wilson, and Mary Cresser, brother-in-law Peter Hitchins, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, a large extended family and a host of friends to mourn his loss. Martin is predeceased by his sisters, Barbara (Preston), Jean (Pollard), Juliet (Robertson) and his brother, Ian. A celebration of his life will be held at a date to be announced.
