Dr. Roger Gordon STEWART

STEWART, Dr. Roger Gordon 1936 - 2019 Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday, June 10, 2019, at the age of 82 years. Loving husband and best friend of 50 years to Sandra Stewart (nee Nowak) of Conestogo, Ontario. Proud and loving father to Tracy of Port Carling, Ontario, Cameron (Christine), and Scott (Michelle) of Tsawwassen, B.C. Loving grandfather of Mason, Carmen, Nolan, Connor and Lauren. Roger will be missed by his brother Dr. John M. Stewart (Mary Jo Kelly) and his sisters Mary Lynne Patterson and Jo Anne Stewart Moore. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Rev. Finlay Stewart and Molly Stewart (nee MacInnis), and by his brother-in-law Truman Patterson. Roger was a General Practitioner and later a dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon in Kitchener-Waterloo. An avid athlete his entire life, Roger loved spending time with his family; especially Autumns with Sandi at the cottage on Lake of Bays, where you could find him with a cold beer on the dock and a smile on his face enjoying the sunset. The family will receive their friends for visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Homes - Waterloo Chapel, 617 King St. N., Waterloo (across from Home Depot). A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 27th at 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow in the reception room. Family mass and burial to take place at St. Boniface Church in Maryhill, at a later date.
