This was a shock to me. I will always remember him coming through my Drive Thru (McDonald's Alpine). We would have small chats and he always made me smile. Very pleasant man and I will miss him coming through. R.I.P. my friend.. Have a coffee on me..

I only knew Ron for a few short months. We were working together on a campaign for A Better Tent City that will launch this Spring in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region. In that short time, his incredible generosity of spirit, time, and his dedication to championing those less fortunate came through loud and clear. I am saddened by his passing. I am also fueled by his vision and giving back to do even more to help those he helped. On behalf of the entire team at tiptap, RIP Ron.

Our friendship was going on for almost 20 years. In this time, I had the opportunity of sitting back and watch Ron do some incredible things. He has given so much to his community, his many friends and his family. His willpower and determination inspire me, and in my book, he is a legend.
May you rest in peace, I will make sure that you are not forgotten.

We are so sorry for your loss. Ron was a life force, he did not do anything half way. Rick and I knew Ron through the arts, which he cared about deeply and supported as much as he could. We met at Barrels Restaurant on Queen Street, through Fran and Tony, now those were the days! Rick also worked with Ron on a few of his various projects, he was a fantastic person to work for. He thought outside of the box and knew what it took to accomplish something worthwhile. Ron had big dreams. We need dreamers. He will be missed by so many people. To Sue and all Ron's family we send our love and care.

Ron was a community visionary that did so much to the benefit of many. His community gardens at the Hacienda Sarria are an exemplary exhibit of his charity. Every platitude I can possibly think of could be attributed to this beautiful soul. My heart breaks for his family, friends and our community. His passing is an enormous loss to all.
