In honour of Thom Ryan, 1974 - 2020. A true community leader who did so much. He also guided me personally with a fundraising campaign so I could volunteer at an LGBTQ Leadership camp for at risk youth in Alberta. It was one of the most inspiring volunteer experiences of my life. I've known Thom for over 20 years as life brought us together on and off through various groups, events and friends. I have always enjoyed his intelligence, skill, community spirit and of course his wit, laugh and charming smile. Thanks Thom!

I met Thom when he worked at Communitech in 2005. He was involved in running film fest at Princess Cinema during Entrepreneur Week. I was covering tech beat for the Record. Great guy. I encouraged him to have more high-tech film fests. He always laughed and agreed. Sorry to hear of his passing. He died too young.

I met Thom when we were on the Grants and Stewardship Committee of Grand River Hospital Foundation. He was a smart, articulate and fun gentleman.

I'm so sorry to hear of Thom's passing. He will be missed. We worked together for a few years together on a committee and other projects through CTT. He was always upbeat and funny and had a funny story to share to pass the time (mowing the lawn in shorts and rubber boots). Deepest condolences to his partner and family.
