It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Thomas Kennedy at St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday March 11, 2021 at the age of 84 years. He will be greatly missed by his children Michael Kennedy, Martin and Cheryl Kennedy, Melissa and Allen Baxter and grandchildren Joel Kennedy (Melissa), Kaitlyn Kennedy (Nathan), Jayme Kennedy (Kurtis), Alexander Kennedy, Jade Baxter and Quinn Baxter as well as his great-grandchildren Carter, Mason, Jase and Easton. He will be remembered fondly by all his family and friends. Dear Brother of Doreen (Murray) Lamont of Thornbury. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Kennedy. His favorite times were when he was with his family and friends. He loved his grandchildren dearly and would talk of them often saying how proud he was of them. His great-grandchildren always brought a smile to his face. He loved being in Port Elgin having fires with family or meeting at the beach with his friends for coffee. He was a true Toronto Maple Leaf fan and loved watching all sports. Tom was the proud owner of K-R Communications for many years and worked in communications for his entire career. In earlier years he was a longtime member of the Optimist Club in London and Kitchener, Ontario and coached many minor hockey teams. Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration will be held at a later date. We would like to thank all of his doctors, nurses and staff at St. Mary's Hospital that looked after him in his last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary's Hospital as expressions of sympathy. Messages and condolences may be left for the family at www.tricitcremations.com or 519.772.1237
