David HOWES Obituary
With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of David B. Howes on May 16, 2021, in his 61st year. David was predeceased by his father, Oswald Howes, and is survived by his loving mother Elizabeth Howes, and sister Dorothy McMurry. Dear uncle to Brad McMurry, and Katie (Mack) Rowan, and great uncle to Birdie Rowan.
David graduated from University of Waterloo, with a degree in electrical engineering. Throughout his successful career, David worked in research and development in the computer field. This allowed him to work not only in Ottawa and Waterloo, but also in England and in Florida. He was able to retire at the age of 51.
David had a variety of interests including hiking, camping, gardening, woodworking, and traveling. His beloved golden retriever, Bailey, was always at his side.
Cremation and a private service have already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society would be appreciated.

Dave "Howie" was a good friend to me for my university years and for a time after. He was thoughtful, kind, caring, and we had much fun and many philosophical discussions.
Condolences to his family. I'm sure that he will be sorely missed.
