Aug. 27, 1949 - Jan. 8, 2017

My dad, Jeffrey Andrew Olsen, teed off on Aug. 27, 1949, in Martinez. Jeff played the front nine for par with his brother Stephen and my amazing great-grandma Annie. He marked a birdie toward the turn with his sister (in-law), Louise. He played the back nine for 30 years running the only locally owned and operated title company in Solano County. He landed his step-daughter, Mary, for eagle, and a green later, his daughter, Anna, his hole-in-one. He hit one or two in the drink coming towards 18, but he always kept the newspaper in his bag pocket, for the stocks and the horse races, so even on a bad day he could pick a winner or two. Through the backstretch, he had the best little caddies in the world. Landon Fredrick, 12, and Mila Loren, six, were the love of his life and the reason he fought for one last shot. My dad did everything his own way, but you knew he loved you. Jeff headed off to the clubhouse on Jan. 8. The family will see Grandpa finish the 19th hole with private ceremonies. We invite you to join us for a celebration of Jeff's life Friday, Jan. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m., at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville with an open-house style remembrance of my dad.

So sad to hear the news of Jeff's passing. I was fortunate to work with Jeff when I first began my escrow career at Frontier Title Company. He was so knowledgeable and generous. He provided me with a solid foundation for years to come. A true professional who will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

I would not have been the escrow officer I was for 40+years without Jeff in my back pocket and the leadership and guidance of Carrell Clark! They were my mentors and shaped who I am today! Jeff and I had the same birthday and I always always looked forward to my birthday call when he'd refuse to tell my receptionist "who" was calling and I'd answer the phone to "Happy Birthday kid"!
Always made my day! He was important to me and I will forever be grateful for his friendship! RIP Mr. O

My heart is breaking right now. I just heard the news. Jeff Olsen was the first title manager that I ever worked for. I was 17 and still in high school and he gave me a chance to learn the business. I worked with Jeff many times over the years in the title department, in escrow and as his personal assistant. Jeff was so patient and knowledgeable and kind to everyone. I will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace, my friend. Sending prayers and love to his entire family and title/escrow friends. Patsy (Shahan) Czabaranek
