Lola Nofuentes Moriel was born in Vacaville on June 23, 1915. She left this Earth on May 28, 2006, after a brief illness. Lola is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dolores Nofuentes; her husband, James R. Moriel; son, James Moriel Jr.; daughter,
Virginia Lopez; sisters, Mary Sanchez and Frances Martin; and brothers, John Nofuentes and Manuel Nofuentes. Lola is survived by her sister, Lupe Rivas; son-in-law, Joseph Lopez; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Morel; grandchildren, Brian Lopez and Pamela Lopez; granddaughter-in-law, Janet Lopez; her great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Hughes, Brandon Lopez, Jaimie
Seybold and Joseph Greene; her great-great-grandchild, Elijha Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends whom all she loved.
Lola and her husband, James, were longtime ranchers in Vacaville, and she loved this valley. Lola was a devoted mother and grandmother who always maintained a positive outlook in life, even during the toughest times. Lola's family was the most important thing to her. She loved the simple beauty of nature and was known for her generosity and great sense of humor. Nana, we love you so much.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a Rosary at 7 p.m. in Nadeau Family Funeral Home, Vacaville.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow.
