Trudyann, after reading all the entries in this guestbook, I wish I had known your dad. It's apparent that he was a genuinely friendly person who wanted to put a "smile" on everyone's face. I know he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Know that you can call me anytime.

I know that my wife and I are not alone when I say that Bill touched us in a very special way. Very seldom do you meet someone as special as Bill. It hurt our hearts when we walked into Walmart and noticed the memorial that was set up in Bills' honor. We're so very sorry for his family's and all of our loss.

I was deeply saddened to see the memorial to Bill (whom I have always though of as Walmart's Friendliest Greeter In The World) when I entered Walmart tonight. He alaways made me smile, and I got a kick out of sitting in the McDonald's near the front door, listening to him greet little kids, hearing their simple joy over the stickers he handed out. His gregariousness and cheer are going to be sorely missed.

Please accept my sympathies on his loss, but know that he touched so many people in very simple, quietly special ways. I'm going to miss just saying hello to him a few times a week.

To The Glover Family: I know you are comforted by all the beautiful thoughts about Bill in this book. My husband and I knew Bill from the time he started at Walmart and enjoyed talking to him, sometimes on his break. We had no idea he was not feeling well , he never let on and smiled because he loved people. There is a special star in the heavens now and I know he is doing his special greeting there. Our deepest sympathy to all the family and may God comfort you in your loss.
