Gerald F. “Jerry” Glackin, of Lansdale, PA died on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Abington-Lansdale Hospital, Jefferson Health. He was 80. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Barbara Glackin. Jerry grew up in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, went to St. Joseph’s Prep and then on to Villanova University where he received his undergraduate degree in 1958 and then his Law Degree in 1961. In 1987, Jerry, his family, and 600 other families were transferred from St. Stanislaus Parish in Lansdale to become the founding families of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Parish and like before, Jerry and his wife continued their volunteer work. Jerry gave his time and talent to many committees. It didn’t matter if he was working on the golf, finance or building committee, he enjoyed them all.
