I was very sorry to learn that Walter had passed. I know that my father, Joe, was fond of his cousin, Walter, and admired his accomplishments in competitive swimming and diving.

My sincere sympathy to the family of Walter.
I have such fond memories of days spent at the BAA pool during the late 1940's early 1950's;
also the Saturday night dances at the BAA club.
A group of us shared in so much fun in those days and I feel blessed to have known Walter.
May God comfort you in your loss.

My heartfelt condolences to the Bardgett family. My father, Donald "Sharky" Shanks swam for Bermuda in the 1948 Olympics so I remember him speaking of Walter and the team many times over the years.
