Dear Barbara and family, the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Lamamba was known as a Powerhouse standing strong on his position for social justice, and political issues. He believed that our history was not taught enough to the next generation. He spoke strongly and fought for issues that he believed where important to the overall wellbeing of all. He will surely be missed, as he often brought the PLP meetings to life, often refusing at times to back down. He was a strong faithful PLP member. Following, meetings I often took a few minutes to chat with him. May he rest in peace and his ideas for political development live on.

With Love

Deepest sympathy and condolences to the Hughes family. Mr. Hughes and my father, the late Jamal Bashir (Lionel Bascome) were great friends. I recall the many times I visited my parents home in St. George's and finding my dad and Mr. Hughes in heavy conversations about the political landscape in Bermuda as well as many other intellectual topics; they truly enjoyed these stimulating sessions. Many years later I saw him in town taking the bus and re-introduced myself; this brought a big smile to his face. May this very wise and articulate gentleman rest in peace. God bless you family.

Mr. Hughes was personal friend . I love talking with him. One day I saw him in Hamilton about 8:30 in the Morning and I turned around picked him up in my car .We spent the entire day together. We drove to Dockyard then to St. George's .had lunch .I later dropped him home in Warwick. He was a great man. He loved Bermuda and it's people. He was PLP and I am OBA, but we did not let that get in the way of our Friendship because we were first Bermudians .He will be missed . I will always thank him for his great words of wisdom. My Prayers are with his family at this time.
