Norine Spurling

Norine (Vesey) SpurlingNorine (Vesey) Spurling passed away December 11, at the home of her daughter in Oakfield, New York. She was 90.Norine was born in Bermuda, and went to the US to study art. She remained in the US, with her late husband and fellow Bermudian Don Spurling, living most recently in Amherst, New York.She attended Moore College of Art and later received her BFA and MFA at the University at Buffalo. She was a professional artist, and past president of the Buffalo Society of Arts.She is survived by her children Jennifer (Charles) Polnaszek, Brenda (Wayne Whiteside) Spurling, and Craig Spurling; grandchildren Nathaniel Polnaszek, Gabriel, Christopher and Jonathan Whiteside and Andrew Spurling; great-grandchildren Avery, Charlotte and Beau Polnaszek and Allison and Joseph Whiteside, as well as by her sister Ada "Penny" Cosentino of Clarence, NY, her brother Thomas Vesey of Bermuda, nieces Susannah and Beth Vesey, and nephew Tom Vesey.Interment will take place in Bermuda at a later date.Bulley-Graham-Rawlins Funeral Home and Cremation Services
