Dear Rosemary, Nick, John, Helen and families,
I write on behalf of all the members of the Saltus community to offer you and your families our sincere condolences. We were terribly saddened to learn of the passing of your beloved husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather, Denis.
We were very privileged to have worked with Denis when he was the Bursar at Saltus and have fond memories of him. Jon Beard and Nigel Kermode mention his great sense of humour and his ability as a raconteur at the staff Christmas parties of the time!
At times such as these, there is often very little that one can offer by way of real comfort. I am sure that you will all reflect on the many happy memories that you have made and shared together with Denis, and I know that these will be a comfort to you at this saddest of times.
Thinking of you all and wishing you peace and comfort.

Dear Rosemary and Family,
Denis' smiling face will be missed, always a calm demeaor. I remember his dedication to the Race Committee of the Royal Bermuda Yacht in my early days of racing luders and Etchells, a stalwart seafarer and volunteer that we are so grateful for giving back to our sport of sailing in Bermuda, and always supporting our events at the club.

Dear Rosemary, Nick, Helen, John and families.
Pauline and I send our condolences for the loss of Denis. I have fond memories of sailing with him and will never forget his stories of his experiences as a naval officer and of crewing for the legendary Uffa Fox.
He was such a warm and friendly man and we know he will be missed by all of us.
