Jacqueline ROTTERMAN Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we must announce the passing of Jacqui on Monday, January 18, 2021 in her 71st year. She will be missed by her partner of 45 years, Bill Zapora, her brother Lorrie, sisters Sherrie, Debbie and especially Kim as well as girlfriends Judy, Una, Joan, Debbie and her life-long friend Donna Grey. Many of her online friends will also miss her wit, honesty and humour. She will also be missed by Ron Brayley, her bookie (whom she still owes money to...). Jacqui loved reading, writing, and was an advertising wiz. She graduated from Sheridan College and had a job at Robinsons in Hamilton waiting for her. Later, she moved on to take a job with Russell T Kelley as an advertising exec. After several years she moved onto handling advertising and promotions for the Hamilton Library system where she oversaw the opening of the newly built library and orchestrated the dedication of the building by Prince Philip. She was then recruited by Cadillac Fairview to run Eastgate and Centre Malls which performed so much better than their other holdings that they promoted her to handle the advertising and promotions for the Eaton Centre in Toronto. With all these credentials behind her, it was time to start her own business, R J Promotions, which she would work at for thirty years right to the end. She loved travelling over the years to many of the Caribbean islands as well as fishing, boating and sunning in her beloved little cabin in Muskoka. She never liked packing, so she is travelling light in this last journey of her life. She is wished God's speed and a smooth journey because she most surely deserves it! Following her wishes, cremation has taken place.

I went to College with Jacqui and we connected immediately. My name was Janice Coxe back in those days. She was one of the finest people I ever met...kind, funny, talented, and so loyal. I regret that we lost touch over the years. I have fond memories of that dear girl.

Remembering Jacqui all the fun times we had through the years. We enjoyed playing board games, & doing the twist & hoola hooping when we were kids, also chatting about tv shows & movies & her funny emails. Jacqui loved being an aunt to many nieces & nephews. I will love love & miss you forever dear sister. ❤❤

Aunt Jacqui, I'll always remember you as the smart, driven, hip woman you were. I'll miss your weekly emails of current pop culture news and events that reminded me that dancing with the stars is still on air. I have vivid memories of my childhood where you always made me smile and got me super thoughtful gifts and those are memories that I will cherish forever. I'm very thankful for the time we were all able to spend together and hope you continue to look out for us.

We love you Aunt Jacqui ❤

Your niece,
Raychelle
