It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert Douglas Clerk announces his passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in his 84th year. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Sharron, and his children, Rob (Megan), Cheryl, and Melanie (Ryan) and nephews Bruce Macfarlane (Sandra) and Andrew Macfarlane (Kathy). Bob was predeceased by his father Ronzo Douglas Clerk, mother Olive Violet Lewis and sister Joan Macfarlane. In 1966, Bob, as a Private in the RMR, won the prestigious Queen's Medal for Champion Shots in the Military Forces at Bisley, England. He was a long-time member of the Royal Montreal Regiment (RMR) attaining the rank of Master Warrant Officer. Bob was an enthusiastic supporter of Burlington's Drury Lane Theatre and also enjoyed his time with the Mapleview Mall morning walkers. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 2 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home, Burlington. Interment to follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens.
