With sadness, the peaceful passing of Alison at Amica in Dundas. Much loved by sister Jocelyn, niece Rachel, nephew Luke, great nephew Joshua, cousins Sara, Louki and Rob. Predeceased by sister Bryan, 2018. Born in England, eldest daughter of Dorothy and Arnold, both teachers. Evacuated with Bryan to Boston during WW II. Qualified as a physiotherapist at St. Thomas' Hospital, London. In 1958 moved to Canada, worked in Montreal and Toronto before moving to Hamilton, where she worked with children until her retirement. An Ancaster resident for over 30 years, before moving to Amica Dundas in 2017, with her beloved cat. A fighter for the environment through her work with the Conserver Society and an avid hiker. She played recorder and attended an annual CANMAC music camp. She travelled widely, visiting family in South Africa and regular visits back to England. Thanks to the staff at Amica, Dundas for their kindness and care. Alison will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hamilton Conservation Foundation or Medecins Sans Frontieres. Condolences, memories and photos may be left at
