With heavy hearts we announce the passing of the beloved wife of Donald MacDonnell for 67 years (formerly of Antigonish, NS), mom to Shelley (Robert), Janice (Roy), David (Kim), Allan (Cheryl), Greg (Judith), Tamara (Chris), sister to Doug Johnstone (Marilyn) of Mount Hope. A loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Anita had an amazing sense of humor and family meant the world to her. Anita is predeceased by her Mom Dorothy Freeman Johnstone of BC and her sister Joyce Mead of Delaware Ontario. Special thanks to the amazing staff of home area one at Alexander Place Waterdown for their love and care. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local Alzheimer's Society. I love forever, I love you for always, as long as we are living our moma you'll be! Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
