David Gordon Moore, born February 8, 1938, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Chartwell Brant Long Term Care Residence in Burlington. David was pre-deceased by Charlotte Ann Moore, his caring wife of 56 years. David and Charlotte were loving parents to Gordon Robert Moore, Clifford Peter Moore (Bev) and David Alex Moore (Juanita) and proud grandparents to Zachary, Téa and Jessica. David is also survived by his sister, Sheila Pallai. David was a high school physics teacher, retiring from Waterdown District High School, and an avid hunter and fisherman, a love he passed down to Gord and Cliff. He was also a pilot having served in the Royal Canadian Air Force Reserve and a long-time member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), including serving for a time as the local chapter President. His great "labour of love" was building a 2 seat Sidewinder in the basement of the family farm in Strabane, which after many years was finished and flown to several fly-ins across Canada and the U.S. and on a trip with Charlotte out West and back through the Rockies. David will be laid to rest beside Charlotte at Strabane United Church after a small, private ceremony. Due to COVID restrictions, the family will be sharing details later regarding ceremonies that will include the many people who were part of both David and Charlotte's lives. If desired in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, of which David was a long-time member. Contact information for the family can be obtained via the Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home. Please sign the Tribute Wall at kitchingsteepeandludwig.com

It was sad to hear of Mr. Moore's passing. He taught me at Waterdown High in the early seventies. We talked about flying as my father and older brother were both pilots. May he rest in peace.
