Jack CUMMINGS Obituary

CUMMINGS, Jack Cameron August 17, 1925 - May 18, 2019 Sadly, we announce that our Dad and Grandpa Jack passed away at Hagersville Hospital. At the same time, we feel pleased he is now again with his wife of 70 years, Doris (Peart), who Dad truly loved and missed over the past year. Loving Father of Christina and Bill Doyle and Phyllis and Bob Martin. They loved their grandchildren Darren and Tara Martin, Steve and Heather Martin, Emily and Daniel Smith, Adam and Rachel Martin, Bill Doyle and Linh Chao, Jackie and Jamie Daglish and also felt truly blessed with their 16 ""great"" grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Don and Norm and Mary Lou and survived by sister-in-law June Cummings. Jack was born and raised in Seneca Township. He served in Germany and Holland during WWII as a member of the Queen's Own Rifles. Dad farmed and also worked for 35 years at Dofasco. He was a life-time member of St. John's Anglican Church and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 154 in Caledonia for 72 years. Visitation will be held at the MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL , Caledonia on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place in St. Paul's Anglican Church in Caledonia, on Thursday, May 23, at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery, York, prior to the funeral service. We feel so grateful for the closeness that our parents enjoyed with their long-time friends and neighbours and for the kindness that they received from the staff at RVilla Retirement Home in Caledonia and also for the care provided to our parents by the staff at the Hagersville Hospital. If so desired, Donations to the West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville or St. Paul's Anglican Church, Caledonia, would be appreciated by the family. www.millerfuneralchapel.ca
