It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, John Gary Wayne Roberts of Burlington. Gary passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday March 11, 2021 at Joseph Brant Hospital after many years of struggling with ill health and has been reunited with Carol, the love of his life. (d. Dec 22, 2020) Gary is the much loved father of sons Chris (Monica) and Jeff (Jill) and beloved Pops to Zachary, Cooper and Samantha. Born in St. Thomas ON, on Feb 6, 1946, Gary is predeceased by his parents John and Jean Roberts and sister Linda Whelan (Jack - d.) He will be missed by siblings Lily Renaud (Bob), Sandra Smith (Steve - d.), Terry Roberts, Marilyn Roberts and Nila Roberts-Neef (Dave). Gary coached minor hockey while his boys played, curled in the winter and golfed during the warmer weather. Gary and Carol were avid campers who created many happy memories camping with family and friends. Gary was employed for many years at BMO in IT, then moved on to a new career as a CFP with Freedom 55 Financial. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at JBH for their excellent care. A very special thank you to Candy and Dick Marsh for their friendship and amazing support. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
