Passed away peacefully at Arbour Creek Care Centre on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Frank Curic and dear mother of the late Matthew Curic. Predeceased by her brothers Ivan, Ignac and sister Ana all of Slovenia. Veronika will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends in Slovenia and Canada. She was very active in the Catholic Women's League and Altar Society of St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Church and a member of the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Association. A special thank you to the wonderful team at Arbour Creek for their care and compassion. In accordance with the regulations of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario due to COVID-19, all events are restricted to a specified number of attendees. Visitors are also required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 2-6 pm Vigil Prayers at 4:15 pm . Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Roman Catholic Church, 125 Centennial Parkway North, Hamilton on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 10am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
