I was guidance secretary at Pearson and very much enjoyed working with Bryce. He was such a fun loving but hard working man. He was always a good friend to me. This photo was taken at Halloween many, many years ago. One of the fun times shared with our Principal, Vice Principal, myself and one of my office co workers. How sad he has passed. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

As a teacher at Lester B Pearson, I liked and respected Bryce. He was a people person and made everyone around him feel valued. After I retired, I would see him from time to time at a bagel shop in Burlington. I always enjoyed those brief visits with him. I miss him. My condolences to his family.

I would like to offer my condolences to Bryce's family on their grievous loss. As a former colleague and, perhaps more importantly, a father of students at Lester B. Pearson High School I remember with gratitude Bryce's concern for and dedication to the wellbeing of those in his charge.

I first knew Bryce as a teacher at Nelson High School and later as a colleague. He was well respected and admired. Later, he provided the direction that led me into my teaching career. Thanks for guidance Bryce.

A post recently appeared on Facebook regarding Mr. Leggatt. After reading the many comments I can only say he had an immense and lasting impact inspiring young athletes and students. He was truly an original.

I have many fond memories of Bryce. Our family get togethers were always so much fun. Even as a child, I enjoyed hanging out with the adults, singing Scottish songs and listening to the many wonderful stories... being passed down from one generation to the next. Great times - miss them dearly.
I remember clearly, Bryce's amazing smile and sense of humour - and he smiled a lot.
My heart goes out to Tyler, Lindsay and Barb and his grandchildren, all of whom I'm sure, were the sparkles in his eyes.
Rest in peace, Bryce.
Much love,
Sue and family
