WALKER, Raymond William With heavy hearts, we are saddened to announce Ray's passing. After a hard fought five year battle with cancer, Ray passed November 15, 2019 at the age of 60, with his devoted and loving wife of 33 years, Peggy (nee Christie) by his side. Ray is now pain free. He is reunited with his parents, Raymond and Mary Walker (nee Chambers) and father-in-law, William Christie. Ray was a loving brother to Michael (Carol), Richard, Kim Renaud (Phil) and Kathy McPhail (Pete). Loving son-in-law to Barb Christie (nee Tait), brother-in-law to Carol Poirier (John) and Bill Christie (Wendy). Ray will be lovingly remembered by eight nieces, five nephews, their spouses, their 19 children and extended family in Canada and England. Ray leaves behind far too many close friends he loved so dearly. He retired after 34 years at Stelco (LEW). Ray was very passionate about two hockey teams - The Leafs and The Schlepps. He loved to golf, play hockey and cut his lawn. Following our families little ones on social media also gave him great pleasure. Special thanks to all medical support at JCC, Dr. Goffin, Cheryl, Diane, Dr. Greenspoon, Dr. Renn, Jeanette, Mary, Michelle, Vanessa and staff and volunteers at the Cancer Assistance Program. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ray's life to be held November 28, 2019 from 4 - 8 p.m., at Ye Old Squire, 550 Fennell Ave., Hamilton. If desired, a donation to your favourite charity in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
