July 18, 1948 - September 19, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Frith. She passed peacefully on Sunday, September 19 after a nearly 3-year battle with cancer.
Barbara was a most kind, caring, compassionate, respectful and tolerant person. There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others, and this sentiment was exemplified by Barbara. From complete strangers to close friends, Barbara always had a kind word for their appearance, home, garden, or children's conduct that would put a smile on their face.
Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty years Rodney, her two sons David (Somerleigh) and Ryan, her sister Kathy (Tony) and her three grandchildren, Wesley, Jillian and Clare, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her grandchildren will miss her greatly at sleepovers, baking, tea parties, stories and picnics. She will be missed at all family gatherings by her extended family as she always took an active interest in their lives and never forgot a birthday, anniversary or special occasion.
Barbara was born in Syracuse, NY and after high school graduated from Powelson Business Institute as their top graduate. She was a cherished employee at Horne LLP for thirty-five years. Her interests included reading, gardening, travelling and spending time with family. She also loved dancing, having a good time and listening to others.
The family would like to thank Dr. Goel, Dr. McWhirter and the oncology staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre, Dr. Park and the palliative care team at Joseph Brant hospital, the Radiology department at Joseph Brant Hospital and the staff, nurses and volunteers at Carpenter Hospice for their professionalism, care and compassion.
Barbara was simply a beautiful person.
