Neil Dougal WEIR

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Neil on September 23, 2021 at the age of 90 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary for 64 years. Cherished father of Neil (Christine), Jim (Louise), and Cay (Alex). Adored Papa of Colin, Daniel, Kathleen, Kelly, Scott (Ariel), Austin (Macy), Peter (Lyndsey), and Sylvia. Great-grandpa of Ava, Grayson, Wyatt, and Arrow. Life-long friend and brother-in-law of Bill (the late Isabel). Loving uncle to Ann and Joan.
He will be missed by a loving extended family in Scotland and the United States.
Neil was a long-time employee (welder) of Dofasco.
Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave.) on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 10-11am with a Chapel Service at 11am. Burial will follow to Mount Hamilton Cemetery. Due to covid-19 and being able to safely social distance, those who wish to attend must wear a mask and RSVP for both the visitation and chapel service separately at www.dermodys.com or by calling 905-388-4141. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Botanical Gardens would be appreciated by his family.
