Alan Andreas Farr
Sacramento, California
Our beloved Alan Andreas Farr passed over on March 21st 2013. He touched many lives with his immensely creative and adventurous spirit. He lived throughout the United States, but spent the last 20 years residing in California. He was born in Stockton, Ca. to parents Willard and Gwen Farr. Some of his happiest memories were attending Dixie State College where he acted/starred in many theatrical stage productions. He went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Business at BYU. He also served honorably in the Military Police at West Point Academy. He married Jeanne Whitmer and went on to have three children, Troy, Tanya, and Alysha Farr. Alan was known for his great sense of humor, talent, and thoughtfulness. He is survived by his children, mother, and siblings, Keith, Erik, Sterling, and Dina. He joins his father, Willard and brother, Lorin in the afterlife. A memorial is being held at Green Valley Spa (conference room) on April 6th at 3:30pm.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Alan in 2011 during the Christmas weekend with his beautiful daughter Tanya. Alan was a wonderful host to us. He prepared a great Christmas dinner and shared home movies and stories of his children when they were young. Alan truly loved his family. I was very honored to meet this man. He was a good father and friend.

Blake and I are sad to learn of Alan's passing. We shared many wonderful memories with him during our years at Dixie in Drama. He will forever be remembered as our amazing tin man from the Wizard of Oz. Now the lowly Cowardly Lion (Blake) is all that's left of the trio. As we say in PB....we say goodbye..."just for now".

We are saddened on Alan's passing. We go back 45 years. He was such a great missionary in the Philippines and was loved by every one. He loved the ones he served. We are glad that we kept in touch all these years. It seems like it was just yesterday when we saw him in June of 2012. We will miss his friendship, thoughtfulness, and kindness. May God bless his family at this difficult time.
