This began a 40 year career which took him and Lena Rae and their family to Tooele, Utah, St. George, Utah, Tucson, Arizona, and Palmdale, California, where he became manager of his own store. He retired in 1984 after a career he'd begun sweeping floors in the Milford J.C. Penny store as a 13-14 year old boy.

Lee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints his whole life. He loved the gospel and loved and serving the Lord in whatever calling he was extended.

Lee will always be remembered for the kind, loving, and generous person he was to whoever he met. He especially loved each and every member of his family. He and Lena Rae, on March 29th of this year, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
