Hildale - Thomas Smith Jessop Sr, 86, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018, at the home of his son Gary, in Loveland, CO. He was born to Joseph Smith Jessop and Annie Marriott Jessop August 26,1931, in Salt Lake City, UT.

Tom spent his childhood and youth in Millville, and Short Creek UT. He attended Short Creek School before being drafted into the Korean conflict. He attained the rank of Corporal. He received an honorable discharge and arrived home on July 25, 1953. He used his G.I. funding to attend trade technical school in Salt Lake City, UT, where he became a Master Mechanic in Diesel and Automotive. He was a skilled welder and apprentice Miller and Farm Machinery Specialist.

He was preceded in death by: his Parents; and his brother William; and his wife Aleta. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sons, Thomas Smith Jessop Jr (Teresa wife), Gary, and Shawn; siblings, Albert, Ellen, Joseph, John, Hyrum, and Mable Annie.

Service will include a viewing Thursday, June 14, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah, 1316 S. 400 E., St George Utah. A second viewing will be held Friday, June 15, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the Funeral Service that will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Holm Heritage Center in Hildale, Utah. Interment will be at the Isaac Carling Memorial Cemetery in Colorado City, AZ, Military Honors provided by the St. George American Legion Post # 90.
