Glen Thomas Imlay was born November 20th 1929 in Hurricane, Utah to Francis (Frank) Wadkins Imlay and Idella Alvey Imlay. He died peacefully in Cedar City, Utah on August 10, 2014. He married Coleen Cowles on October 29th, 1949 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Later they were sealed in the Manti Temple on January 10th, 1955. He was an active member of the LDS church and worked for many years in the oil field. The last few years of his career were spent as a manager for Grant Oil Tool. He also served his country in the Navy. He loved the outdoors and spent many years enjoying camp ground hosting. He is survived by his loving wife, Coleen, their two children, Jerry (Louise) Imlay and Frankie Lou (Craig) Evans, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and his brother Francis (Barbara) Imlay. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother (John Garland Imlay). There will be a viewing at the Cedar West Stake Building, 725 South 1100 West, Cedar City, UT on Friday the 15th from 6 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday the 16th at 12:00 Noon at the Escalante LDS Chapel, 80 South Center Street, Escalante, UT with a viewing prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Escalante Cemetery. Arrangements by Heideman Hughes Mortuary (435) 674-5000.
