Douglas Harper Obituary
St. George, Utah
On Sept. 9, 2013 Douglas Harper, age 57, entered Gods Garden of love and grace in St. George, Utah.
Douglas was born July 25, 1956 being the youngest of 7 children, born to the late Robert (Jack) and Barbra (LeFevre) Harper.
Douglas grew up in the area of St. George, known as Sandtown, graduated from Dixie High School and VO-Tech in Provo. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Boston area.
Doug was a self-taught, skilled laborer in the concrete business for 25 years, being respected by all who knew and worked with him. Douglas was always there to help others. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid hunter and fisherman and looked forward to a competitive Golf game with his brother-in-law Joe.
He is survived by his son Justin of St. George and daughter Amber of Salt Lake City, whom he loved and treasured. Also survived by sisters Gwyn (Joe) Moore, Linda (Jim) Cottam, Chris (LaMar) Miller, Arlene Harper-Veith, brothers Robert (Wanda) Harper and Leonard Dale Harper, along with many nephews and nieces, whom loved Uncle Doug very much.
The family extends their gratitude to his physicians and a host of caring friends.
Those wishing to may donate to Health Environment Alliance of Utah at HEALUtah.org in the name of Douglas Harper, for awareness of Downwinders of Utah.
A private family Memorial service was held September 28, 2013. Arrangements were entrusted to McMillan Mortuary. Interment took place in the Washington City Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. My love and prayers go out to all of the Harper family.I have a lot of fond memories from my childhood of Doug and his family. I know Doug is loving being with his parents and other family members who have gone before him. What a reunion he is enjoying.
